What type of ship is the Rose de la Reine? (sails, number of guns, crew size.)@rusted-knight Great question! I see you’re a fellow nautically-inclined writer. 😉 Love it!
Rosa, as Esperanza likes to call her, LOL, is… er, was… a frigate with sails on all three masts (foremast, mainmast, and mizzenmast), sporting 32 guns and a whooole lotta sailors. 😉 Around 120-ish. That was her old navy ship that got swallowed up in the maelstrom. I’m still writing the part where she gets a new one, a bit worse, a lot smaller, and sporting a much smaller crew (but a GREAT one nonetheless! XD) – possibly a sloop or a brigantine/brig. The new ship she’ll get has the same name due to respect for her mother.
Also, what is Esperanza’s weapon of choice? Does she prefer civil swords (rapier, estoc, cinquedea) or more military type ones (cutlass, longsword, short sword) Or is it more exotic.AHHH THESE QUESTIONS ARE MAKING ME DROOL! XD Okay, not literally, but I’m screaming in excitement internally.
Ahem, anyway, Esperanza sometimes uses a cutlass, sometimes a rapier. Those are her two favorites, although she prefers the rapier. 😀
