Ah, INFP. *nods* I was wondering, cause just reading some of your conversation with Claire, it sounded veeeerrry similar to something I’d say 😛 I’m an ISFP. And coolio. I shall call you Jonathan, then, as I prefer to call someone either my their real name or nickname instead of part of their tag, if possible and/or applicable.

Moral of the story: Do not rob the mafia. Do not rob a vampire. Especially do not rob a vampire working for the mafia.

*raises one eyebrow, then both* That… would seem like reasonable advice XD

*reads next two paragraphs* *makes a “not bad” face* Interesting. Quite.

Oh! Cool! How small is “smaller”, and how’s the atmosphere as far as cussing and such is concerned? I don’t mind a few “milder” words, but I’m gonna guess it’s a relatively clean-mouthed set of people. And I presume meetings take place over Zoom or some other such platform. I need to check back in with my friend about joining her group, which would be my first choice since I know at least four people in it, but, if they don’t want another player, and your group is cool with it, I might take you up on snagging a spot in yours. I guess just let me know if there ends up being a spot, and I’ll let you know if I join my friend’s group. And thank you!

*laughs* I have gathered that from most of the Pinterest posts… there are some horror stories about people who didn’t heed that advice XD

Right now, it’s me and 3 guys, all brothers / brother-in-law of the two brothers, and our language is clean – we’re all Christian dudes. THAT SAID, one of them’s a bit of a dingdong when it comes to socially acceptable violence (in games) and so the setting / morality is more on the gray-and-gray rather than eminently heroic. However, the guy I expected to be a mass-murdering looney has actually been an upstanding citizen while the guy I expected to be reasonably sociable has already caused the death of an innkeeper and racked up several counts of malingering and sacrificing the lives of peons to save his own skin, and the whole lot have been hilariously oblivious, blundering fools who are probably going to be eaten by giant crabs. The plot should be progressing within the next week, and hopefully they’ll be back in port within a session or two (which would make an ideal point of entry for a 4th character – hopefully a more mentally stable one.

      Player Characters:
The Shrimp With No Name (Clint Eastshrimp, on a quest to avenge the ocean, or something, idk)
      Ciandonald (a thieving hobo druid)
Sicarus (a malingering pathological liar / bard and con-man.)

We meet over Discord voice-chat – they don’t have webcams, and my laptop tends to overheat when the camera is running.
My other group is some older dudes and dudettes from my church, and there’s stinkin’ 8 of them, and it’s utter chaos. 😛
A massive group is not an ideal introductory setting, so I may even discuss amongst my players of that group what they think about splitting into two groups of 4 as separate adventuring groups within the same setting.

*nods* Gotcha. I don’t generally mind some violence. Oh, I messaged my friend and she said she hasn’t asked her group yet, but she advised me to join y’all if possible cause some of her people have some foul language/behavior, SO… I would love to join you guys if that’s cool.

Those are some interesting-sounding characters XD I love Eastshrimp especially lol.

Discord is cool. My only possibly issue would be my internet, which is rather horrible since we live about 30 miles out of town in the middle of a forest. But I believe I could make it work, if I join.
Ah, I can see how 8 would be chaotic lol.

Quick question: How long does one session generally last? Or is there a “generally”? XD

      • Generally?
Well, for my little group, we do it in 2-3 hours. Basically the same amount of time we’d be otherwise playing games together.

Do you have an email I can send stuff to? I can send you info on the setting and we can talk about making your character and introducing her/him into the story.

      • @the-inkspiller
Hm… Alrighty. I’ll talk to my mom and dad and make sure I can have that kind of time free.

        Yep! jedihobbit04@gmail.com

*facepalms* No, that’s wrong, sorry. It’s liviryddle04@gmail.com . Not jedihobbit. My bad.
