Ok so… I’m not sure where to say this so I’m just gonna put it here and somebody can scold me later or whatever.
I have a short story to write before next Wednesday (the 5th). I have a very vague idea of what happens, and no outline whatsoever. My MC is not very developed, either.
Anybody have tips on how to whip this up? I just need the basic first draft written, but like I said, my deadline is Wednesday.
Help??

I think you should just try to write, whatever you write first is what you should stick with until you finished the first draft. You can go over it later and edit it. It’s the ruff draft, so it definitely doesn’t have to be perfect.
*nods* Just get words on paper, worry about everything else later. *is still slightly panicky but opens my word doc*
Another thing that may help… in many fantasy stories, there is a “Frodo’s ring”, or an object that the story revolves around or influences it a lot (the Wardrobe, a secret potion, a great sword, etc…). The point is, if you figure out an object and go from there, it could make it more simple.
You could also make the “Frodo ring” a secret club, or a certain place (A mansion, perhaps).
Just a suggestion…
Ah, yes… I think I already have one figured out, but I do need to spend a little more time on it. Thank you for reminding me lol 😛
