Faith

We wander the dark valley of our doubt
Insisting that security is better than faith
And we allow the fears to follow us about
We falter and fall ’cause we’ve lost strength

Lord Jesus abides within His children
And He calls us to courage; not to cowardliness.
If we would just forget all our fears, how we’d change then!
We’ll try and would see what faith can do

Faith perceives all things invisible
Faith believes all things incredible
Faith receives all things impossible
To attain to a heaven, unimaginable

Help our fainting hearts to trust in You,
To walk out on the water with the Lord of wild waves-
To soar above on eagles wings and live, brave and true-
Always clinging close beside our Lord.

Faith removes the mightiest mountains
Faith casts down all the tallest giants
Faith closes jaws of fiercest lions
To attain to a crown, incorruptible

Faith walks out of the fiery furnace
Faith endures the hostile wilderness
Faith braves unbidden the king’s palace
To attain to a prize, unreachable.

Faith recants not at stripes and scourging
Faith falters never at stones and burning
Faith triumphs o’er the grave and dying
To attain to a life, unimaginable
