This is one I wrote a long time ago but just revisited and revised. Enjoy!
The Music of Creation
I sit here underneath this old tree
Listening to the breeze whispering through its leaves.
Over there’s a very busy bee
Pollinating the morning glories on the eaves
While he hums a rhythm beatI can hear bluebirds and robins singing
High up above my head, sweet in their harmony
There is a woodpecker’s drum ringing
Out loudly in the walnut woods, while keeping time
Puts more rhythm in their chime. The music of Creation
I can hear their voices as it falls on my ears.
The Master’s orchestration
It’s a symphony that’s been sung on for years.
The music of CreationNow as I wander ’round in the wood
Squirrels and tiny chipmunks chatter to their song
Directed by the Master so good.
Nearby the creek’s water splashes and flashes along
So sings the creatures in throng.Oh, Lord, Father, the Great God
My Savior, my Redeemer, my King
How beautiful is the hymn all Your creatures sing
Oh, Lord Jesus, my Great God
How can I stay so sad and silent?
All around me the melody is so vibrant
With creation I’ll sing
Praises to You, my KingThe music of Creation
Thus all His handiwork lifts up praise to their King
The Master’s orchestration
I shall awaken my soul, strike the chord and sing.
The music of Creation
