This one is a long one with long lines, but I couldn’t get the feel I wanted otherwise. If any of you has any critique one this one, PLEASE share it.

It was inspired by a movie I’ve watched a lot recently. It’s call to all Christians. I hope it encourages you to be a brave soldier for Christ.

The Defenders

Messages are coming, warning of marauders in our midst

Invaders seeking to steal, kill and destroy

Their leader, a heartless devil, seeks to crush with his fist

The life and truth that all men need to survive

The call of duty sounds. Who will rise to defend

Rout these spirit raiders, bringing their terror strikes to an end.

The defenders, those who arose to defend

The gospel of Light and rescue men

Upon the Word they must stand. They must fight.

What’s this course instated by those in who leadership stand?

And who’s this mortal in chieftainship in our band?

Knowledge-half is truth and the other is lumped with man’s lies

And men that lead listening to the worldly wise

We are drilled, distracted to harm our enemy has planned

The Book our King left for us is ‘contraband’

Who are we to question the Word our King’s own hand has penned

This  is city His that we’re stationed to defend

We must purge our passions, purpose to give all for this fight

And choose this Book to be our weapon of light

Testament of time on hand and the truth strapped at our side

So we will stand- never surrender or hide

Though foes be many and conflicts be intense

Vigilant and sober, prayerfully we’ll rise to the defense

Will His force arise to triumph if they live only for ease

Or be reduced to a faithful few on their knees?

Rebuild from ashes, return to the Book and give all for

Our King, our comrades and souls caught in this war.

If earthly leaders turn traitor, arise! Soldiers of the King

And rebuke them in our King’s name, tho it sting

He will come someday and the war at last shall be won

The faithful warriors shall hear his ‘’Well done!”
