So we need to think about the time era and the size of the town. I’m guessing its pretty small. Are we thinking like a western town? What culture do these people come from… The villain could possibly come from somewhere outside the culture of this said town and the protagonist. Should the Villian be the same age, gender… etc

Is our town dying or being civilized. Is it highly populated does our final scene happen in an often used building or one forgotten in the corner of the town?

I think it is okay to know more about these characters then we can necessarily fit in the book so we can get a really strong impersonation in the little space we have.
