Yes, it is pretty huge, I’ll have to get some sort of scale up sometime so we can really perceive the size. For now, planet-like in size works.

All right, here’s a sketch of The Resilience. I was thinking that we could have the amphitheater/arena like a bubble inside of the ship, so that’s what this shows. Let me know if there’s anything I should change or add!

If the name THE CULLING doesn’t send people away I don’t know if Despondence IV will be much different…

The Resilience is good with me. It kind of symbolizes what you need to win the games, and also how much of it you need.

He doesn’t have a name as of yet, I’ll try to get back to you on that as soon as I can. For now let’s just call him Phil.

I also really like you idea of the twist on Batman’s backstory, to destroy justice instead of uphold it.

Have you seen any of the movies, or are just speaking from common pop-culture knowledge? Because that’s all I can speak from. 😉

I totally have done that before, you’re not the only one! I’ll think I’ve come up with this super awesome idea and start mapping out everything and get all hyped and then realize that the idea is exactly like someone else’s. That’s almost the saddest backstory I’ve ever heard!! He lost the people he loves most, and then somehow found the will to love again… and lost them to. He must think that love only brings pain. If you win you get to lead the branch. You become the ultimate leader of the whole thing, that’s at least the impression I got.

Maybe the characters all play together, and there will be eight champions, and the Judges put them in the branch they think best suits them.

I was referring to an earlier post. So far there are eight branches of the government, and each has a separate Culling. This might not work properly if we want out characters together though…

I believe that the point of the Cullings is to obtain the government position you’ve entered or been entered for. There can be only one winner, and others are ‘culled’ through elimination (the person who did the poorest or finished last is eliminated).

I think that each planet works differently on how they get their candidates, so some will be chosen and others will apply, just to add to diversity and the different freedom levels of the people from each planet.
