Calla stared at Eiri, forcing the memories back down. There wasn’t time for that. Eero looked at her, and she knew that he knew. How could he not? He was from her world, and her story was well known there. Eero nodded to her, and turned, bending over Eiri and murmuring the words to a lullaby while he bandaged her wounds.

Or things could actually go in our character’s favors for once! Isn’t that a novel idea? 😉 Don’t we have enough to deal with already — I mean characters are wounded and broken emotionally and physically. Let them get somewhere before having someone take them prisoner or before having bandits attack.

Eero: She won’t hurt you.

Me: You so sure about that?

Eero: *holds my arms* I have a nice sleeping poison. Yep. I’m sure.

Calla: Dagger has no idea what she just did. I will kill her for breaking Eiri like that. *draws another knife*
