@anne_the_noob14 cool! Any idea what draw-weight it is?

@karthmin Yeah, that makes sense. What I usually do with new ideas is write them down, satisfy my current curiosity about them, then when I can’t go any further without serious thought I put it aside and go back to my main WIP. Easier said than done, of course, but it usually works!

John J. Horn and Hope Ann sound interesting! I’ll definitely check them out sometime.
Nice! Do you remember which States you visited? Or at least some of them?
Europe would be awesome! It’s super cool your parents are British! I just have to ask . . . do they have an accent? A British accent?

Yeah, that’s true.
My draw weight is 29 pounds. Once I get my accuracy near-perfect I’d like to increase it, though. But it’s better to practice accuracy with a lighter draw weight rather than trying to muscle back the string and aim properly at the same time. If you get your accuracy down first, you know pretty much where to…[Read more]

You definitely should!
Yeah, that’s unfortunate.
I can understand the immediate thought of “emo.” A LOT of people stereotype them as emo, but they’ve got so much more than the typical “emo” band. They have a lot more depth and meaning and sound.
I hope you get to watch LotR and the Hobbit soon!

Gladly! Real quick, though, is “lang” supposed to be “land”? The dictionary definition of “lang” doesn’t fit the context. I’m going to write like you meant “land.” Feel free to change things if that’s not what you meant.

It would work better as a sub-plot rather than the main plot/focus of the story. And epic scene of fantastical genius would be awesome!

That would be quite interesting. In the right story, that could also be a great addition! It’s definitely something good to think about.

I haven’t really tried quickly switching between chords on the guitar yet, so I don’t know how easily I can do it. I don’t think it’ll be too hard for me, though, since I’m used to cello and violin. Guitar’s a lot different with the frets and everything, but quickly moving fingers on strings I am used to.
Yeah, my library ha…[Read more]

Yep! So you brought it upon yourself!
There seems to be a theme of dwarves being looked down on. Hmm.

Yes, you did bring this whole thing up, so you get the lead it.
In the world where I have dwarves, I think my other Races will look down on them. The reason is, the dwarves don’t really socialize or trade or anything. They keep to themselves and don’t like talking with the other Races. If a dwarf and another Race see each other on…[Read more]

So, back to the dwarves . . . any particular aspect of them we should talk about next?

@karthmin yeah, it was pretty neat! It was really useful to see his face (which looked very much like my character, of course) move and make different expressions. Better than just looking up photos on Pinterest, which is what I usually do.

I suppose our taste buds are very different.
I love the last name Norfleet, and it looks like that’s a pretty popular one in your name choices. For first names, William Norfleet sounds really good, but I don’t know if you want to have your real name and pen name combined. There’s nothing wrong with it being combined, I just don’t k…[Read more]

Guacamole is amazing!
I like the name Leon Fleming. What are some of the other names you’ve been thinking of? My pen name used to be Jean Trill, then I settled on Tashah Claymore.
