Welcome new Ereki! I’m Sarah Inkdragon. Writer, artist, rider, INTJ, and complete nerd. (Tolkien’s elvish is still beyond me, but Latin, Ancient Greek, and binary are some things I can manage.) You can usually find me analyzing movies, books, and TV-shows, watching spoiler reviews before I see the movies, and listening to the HTTYD medley.

@princess-foo I don’t remember if you had posted it somewhere else, but where can I find the premise of the novel? That would help a lot XD

It probably would. XD.
Well, here is the synopsis.
Aliyah Locke has never liked the stories where the main character is suddenly thrust into another universe. Seriously, those characters act like they’ve never read a book before. But when a gift a friend gave her leads her to a strange new world, Aliyah is the first to admit she is not equipped f…[Read more]

Um…. school happened.
Lots of it.
Anyhow, how’s everyone’s writing going? I haven’t done much since I’ve been thinking about college and adjusting to public school(I switched from homeschooling at the beginning of the semester) but now that I’m pretty much adjusted I hope to start writing more often.
Other than that, I…[Read more]

I’m a little late to the party, but I’d love to beta read if you’re still looking for readers! I can’t get through it at an insane rate of speed, but I shouldn’t take me too long depending on exactly how much critique you’re looking for.

Ooh, I’ve never heard of that channel! I’ll check it out. I usually watch Dear Future Me because he has some great videos on movies/shows and writing in general. Plus, he loves HTTYD and ATLA. XD

Hmm, what book has impacted me the most….. eh… hm….. this is actually a really hard choice. I think I’m probably going to have to say The Chronicles of Narnia, though. I first read these books with my mother when I was young, and then later on I got all seven books together at about 10 and read through them over and over again…[Read more]

Ooh, beta reading! I’ve done this…. 1 or 2 times officially I guess, and it’s actually pretty fun. I love analyzing stories, themes, plots, and characters just for fun(my Youtube recommendations are pretty much all analyzations of recent films, character archetypes, etc), so getting to analyze other people’s stories is awesome to me.…[Read more]

It really depends on who you’re writing for and what you’re comfortable writing…. personally, I don’t mind dark novels as long as they have good themes behind them(*looks at my own novel* Yeah, I don’t really get to say not to write dark novels…. XD), and don’t dwell on it too much.
But then there’s the actual execution of the…[Read more]

Sarah Inkdragon replied to the topic Any other graphic novelists out there? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 3 months ago
I really, really want to turn my novel into a graphic novel someday, but currently I’m still working on perfecting my art before I start drawing any comics. I actually plan on getting an BA in Illustration, then going on the get an MA in Animation(specializing in 2D/traditional animation) if I can. I’m pretty sure I’m going for…[Read more]

The mighty Inkdragon lives alone in the North-Western border mountains of Erekdale–the Eralys Range. Her castle is hidden high up in these mountains, far away from any people or troubles of the…[Read more]

GUYSSSSS.
GUESS.
WHAT.
I found a free art program that uses layers and you can animate JUST LIKE PHOTOSHOP. BUT FREEEE.
I am so excited.
Anyhow, the program is named Krita, and it’s worked pretty great for me so far(being a person who literally knows zilch about digital art), so I thought I’d share a few pieces I did with it…[Read more]

Sarah Inkdragon replied to the topic Fanfiction in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 4 months ago
Personally, I love writing and reading fanfiction. It’s incredibly fun to try and create a good story within the limitations of a pre-existing universe with pre-existing characters(I despise OC’s in fanfiction most of the time… though I have met a few people who can do them well).
Plus… there’s so much that can be explored in…[Read more]

Wow, I’ve been insanely busy lately. 😐 School’s been crazy, and I have a three-page essay to write, but I’ll spare a bit of time to type up my incredibly long reply.
I have a bit of a grudge with transformation arcs, in part due to the fact that they’re decently common, and sometime the author will put a character through unimaginable…[Read more]
