To all those I have randomly tagged, welcome to one of the Character Castles! *Gestures vaguely at everything*

Essentially, it’s a roleplay for character development. I really love using it because it puts my characters in new and interesting situations and it forces me to think about how they would react. Besides that, I practice their voice and get to know them better because I write a lot in their voice.

And it’s really fun because there are virtually no limitations, genre, tone, or otherwise. *Nods vaguely at that one part where my fantasy character was doing backflips in a sci-fi zero gravity room because she’s a force of chaos.* No kidding, we go from that to dramatic ‘death’ scenes in a few posts. XD

I must admit, I use it for experimenting with POV and language in general quite often. *Squints at that one weird second-person bit I had in the other castle. Still no idea why that happened*

It also means you have several people who get to know your characters and can offer you feedback on them.

All genres and all characters are allowed, and you can put them in no matter how well you know them. You can drop them in even if you only know their name. You don’t have to post every day, usually just a short piece every week is fine, so it doesn’t have to take up a lot of time.
