Thank you!!! And I never would have known that you struggled with battle scenes had you not told me!
Thank you! When I read my first battle scenes, I cringe. A lot. So that means I’ve improved, right? XD
Ha ha, thank you! I get my best ideas when I’m not trying to think of any, so that was one of them. Also, Liorah is so tough; and she was thinking what I would be thinking while tying up a bloodied leg. Love it
I totally get that! I get my best ideas while thinking idly. The burning fabric thing for example. That was a complete accident. And thank you! I’m glad you like that part! Liorah’s toughness is one of my favorite things about her. Not because she is tough, but why. It’s quite interesting (to me, of course, XD)
At this time (Before the start of the first book, and during the first book) Liorah has this idea of invincibility stuck in her head.
Probably because: A, she’s a princess and nothing terrible has ever happened to her and she commands a lot of respect. B, she simply needs it to be true because she has other goals and has this constant idea that everyone else is more valuable than her. I could go into that a lot more, but that’s enough character psychology. (Hope I didn’t bore you on that side-track! XD)
Btw, both your’s and @this-is-not-an-aliens ‘s name-finding ideas are very helpful! I struggle with that sort of stuff too
I’m glad it was helpful!
Just wanted to add, this last part about Wylo is fascinating!! I’m really starting to get an interest in him as a character! He has so much inner conflict! I love it!
Sorry not only for the length but for burdening our group with a injured dog who probably won’t be able to walk and who has a mistress who will NOT leave her behind. *grimace*
Don’t apologize! I LOVE it! It’ll make things a bit tougher for our characters and that’s always a good thing! Besides, killing off the pet is the worst!
I have one firm rule in my stories: The pets are invincible and immortal. The horses can go through battles without getting hurt, even as I mercilessly wound my favorite characters. And the dogs, cats, and ravens (Yes, one of my characters has a raven as a pet. It’s really fun!) never die. The animals don’t deserve any of the troubles my characters do. XD
And now I have to write Liorah reacting to dragons!! Remember, her world doesn’t have any fantasy animals/ magic, so she’s completely unfamiliar with it. This is going to be fun XD
