@rebecca-w Interesting! So the one that popped into my head is a pretty obvious one, and that’s the power to read someone’s potential for good/evil, or to read whether someone’s intentions are good or bad. Pretty basic, though… @evelyn had a good idea.

@rebecca-w Ooh, sounds interesting. I wonder if you could have a magical ability referred to as the “Storyteller,” where the holder of it looks at an object and can see flashes of it’s history/memory. Thus, your detective could look at a weapon and see it’s story.

That’s the first idea that pops to mind at least.
