@kate – Thanks! It was a blast to write it, and now I have another short story in my repertoire. *Turns on fans to blow the confetti everywhere, and dances in swirling paper.*

@anybody – Just a curiosity–did anybody pick up on my trying to keep the fish thing a secret until half-way through the story? That was probably a bad idea for a prose piece, as my descriptions were sparse. I was thinking it’d be a cool feature if the reader thought the story was about people until at some point, *poof!* Wait, they’re fish?? Well, it was fun to try, anyway 😉
