Hey everybody! 😊 So I could use some help with my short story, it’s just a 15 minute read at the most. I’m expected to submit it on Wednesday and I want to make sure that the grammar, punctuation and theme are all perfect. I’m worried I might have missed something, so any constructive criticism you have would be helpful! Thanks guys! …[Read more]

Rachel replied to the topic Time to write a mystery in the forum Announcements 6 years, 9 months ago
Mysteries have so much potential. 🙂 It could take place anywhere, like in an old abandoned castle, or a spooky manor, and/or a locked room mystery, or anything as random as a lake. Literally anywhere people want to write it. But people should also be thinking about what kind of mystery they want to write about. Such as was something valuable…[Read more]

I think most young girls do start with some femininity, even tomboys. They know they’re not boys even though they might not fully understand why. But I do think it’s something that in our society needs to be encouraged and perhaps even taught to some degree, because it’s not something our society values.
What do you mean by her…[Read more] -

Don’t be terrified, most nurseries are used to volunteers who don’t have any experience yet. 🙂 Holding babies isn’t too hard, you support the head and the rear and be careful. But if they’re young you have to make sure that you are supporting the head and neck. If they’re under two months they might not be able to hold thier head up…[Read more] -

Not many people have studied this topic, I wouldn’t even say that I had studied what femininity means. 🙂 But what I would define femininity as part of what makes women women and not men. God made us different, men should be masculine and not feminine, just like women should be feminine and not masculine. At least that’s what I…[Read more]

Thank you for answering my question. 🙂 I’m encouraged to hear you believe as I do that being feminine is a strength and that God can give us the strength to become this. But I was wondering, do you think God made all women to be feminine? Different from men in a way that is more than physical?
Everyone is different and I wouldn’t expect…[Read more]

Yes, Kate answered the question well and I agree with her, but I was curious to know what you would say about it. 🙂 I already know what I believe, but I’m curious to know what you believe. Let me ask the question a bit differently: Do you see being feminine as something worth doing? Something worth learning as a girl grows up? 🙂

Yes, I thought so to. 🙂
I just wanted to encourage your desire of being a wife and possibly a mother someday. That’s not only a beautiful goal, but I think also a very noble one. 🙂 Personally being a wife is one of the most satisfying areas of my life and after being married for nearly two years now it just keeps getting…[Read more]

Enlightening analysis! 🙂 I hadn’t thought of this character for a while, but you really put her in a different light for me and brought up traits that I had never thought about in her before.
And I loved what you said to Noah about feminism being a spiritual disease. The problem with feminism is that it takes the place of God and becomes…[Read more]

Rachel replied to the topic Why you should write outside in the forum Announcements 6 years, 10 months ago
That’s been my experience writing outside as well. 🙂 Distracted by the weather or birds, or anything that happens to walk by.
But now that it’s getting warmer outside, I suppose I ought to try it again. It’s always good to vary the places I write. Different places can be inspiring. 🙂

Beautifully written, Grace! 🙂 The characters are very moving, and I liked how you protrayed Death as a friend to the good. It was well done.

I appreciate this article, as yet another needed reminder to be disciplined as a writer, and to set and keep goals for myself in that regard. But when I actually put this into practice I’ll let you know. Been distracted recently and haven’t gotten as much writing done as I want to.

Now you understand the struggle I go through for this one friend/beta reader. Yes, I go through a lot of paper for someone that doesn’t actually own a printer. 🙂
I’m glad to hear you’ve been encouraged in the details of your plot. 🙂 What was that one change?

I really appreciate this post, I haven’t gotten any writing done this week at all. 🙁 Time keeps slipping away from me as I work on my other responsibilities. Perhaps I just need to accept that I’m never going to get everything done, and just start working on writing after I finish my devotions in the morning. I definitely need to…[Read more]

Happy to be of service! 🙂 So a funny thing happened yesterday. I get Hope Ann’s newsletters, and yesterday she was recommending another writer’s newsletter, and I was like must support fellow writer. So I subscribed to this other writer’s newsletter. Turns out that was you! 🙂 Small world. So I wanted to tell you that I think it’s awesome…[Read more]
