Joelle’s countries
For Aleck:
Planet Name: Tiras
A large planet in the star system of Prokdaul, Tiras is the most advanced. Although most of the country thrives on training warriors and building complex weapons, many of the citizens are completely oblivious to the government’s infiltration. The technology has advanced so much so that nearly the entire planet is one city, with a few large spots of federally protected wilderness in which many young warriors train. Every apprentice’s hope is to participate in the Cullings.
The government is doing more than building modern weapons, though. They are intent on getting rid of the weak links on Tiras, thus establishing the strongest planet in the universe. Mr. B is behind this, although no one knows that his HQ is on Tiras.
Tiras has two moons at night, but one never leaves the horizon. The other is like Earth’s. The climate is typically warm, although cold seasons do hit. Many odd creatures dwell there, and occasionally there will be one that is intelligent enough to have picked up speech. The citizens of Tiras use these animals as messengers for short distance things. Otherwise, watches function as an email that recognizes your voice (voice typing). If you wish to speak live, a hologram will show up.
Country: Scotchlind
Scotchlind is in the north, in a portion of Tiras’ city that has more greenery and mansions than crammed buildings and factories (consider Irish cities vs. London type thing). The Scots speak Scots Gaelic, a language from the olden days which persevered as many people began to speak one language. The Scots learn both Scots Gaelic and the planetary tongue of Ampilia when they are young.
Scotchlind is the more competitive warrior zone instead of military inclined. In other words, Scots are trained more for competition in an arena than a battlefield. They excel in duels, but full out battles are often confusing. Scot men tend to have bushy beards, barrel chests, and contagious laughs, whereas the women tend to be petite and quiet with long hair sweeping to their hips Of course there are exceptions, but those are the general rules.
Country: Norstis
The country of contestants Mista & Mar, siblings who were chosen for the Cullings. The people of Norstis tend more towards creating weapons such as energyswords (lightsabers) and high-tech blasters for intergalactic trade. As it is in the far north, Norstis is the only country where it gets to freezing occasionally. All the same, cold winds are often blowing and thus the Norsti keep bundled up.
The cold is one of the things that make it easy for the Norsti to create their weapons. Freezing light and energy is the way to make an energy sword, and then you burn it in a furnace to give it the burning quality.
The Norsti are known for their extremely competitive and determined personality. The women tend to has pale hair and eyes, and are as hardworking as the men. The men have longer hair and short-trimmed beards, but they tend to have darker eyes (the reason for the differing eye colors between genders is undiscovered).
Recap: Planet – Tiras, basically a big city that’s highly advanced and Mr. B’s HQs; Country – Scotchlind, a northern country that excels in education and duel training; Scot Character – Aleck; Country – Norstis; Norsti Character (I’m coming up with a few extra contestants, I won’t actually act as them) – Mista & Mar, siblings
For Vika:
Planet: Rithuagua
The whole planet is one big land mass. There is no water on the surface of the planet at all. How do the inhabitants survive? The core of the planet is not hot material like earth. It is composed of water.
Country: Rushka
Rushka is the cold, barren wilderness that very few of the Rithuaguan people want to call home. The plant life consists of sparse grass, evergreen trees, and the occasional frost-bush, which makes and abundance of edible berries for one day after the first frost. Animals migrate across it from time to time, but only burrowing creatures and birds dare to actually call the land home.
As a result, the Rushkans have it bad. The other countries are full, and the Rushkans can’t really go anywhere else. So they resorted to war. Actually, that’s what stopped the nearly continuous wars raging about Rithuagua. The Rushkans didn’t have the forces needed to outright attack other countries, however, so they trained expert spies. Many Rushkans tend to look younger than they are. For example, Vika is nearly eighteen, but she looks like she’s just hit her teenage years. This makes the Rushkan’s excellent spies. The parents train children with potential, and the children are commissioned for their first mission when they turn eighteen. A few with extra-special potential get missions earlier (again, Vika).
Recap: Planet – Rithuagua; Country – Originally Rushka, but lives in Sinoraus; Character – Vika
