Yay! I’ll work on it some more later. And THANK YOU. This is just SOOOO helpful, for the rest of my story too. I think I’m going to go see if I can get one of my irl writer friends to look at it…

Sorry I haven’t been part of this conversation before. I missed the part about real-world stuff and didn’t really know how to contribute as I don’t really have experience in Fantasy
As I may have mentioned before I basically write his-fic and that has sorts of language differences involved. And then there’s also the different cultures within…[Read more]

Okay. Wow. I really should’ve gotten to this sooner. So I redid the scene again. I really just totaled it completely actually. So… is this better? @kb-writer @maddiejay @i-david

So, a couple months ago I wrote a story that was just going to be “for fun,” but ended up being one of my favorite things I’ve written. It also ended up being rather long for a short story, weighing in at over 9,000 words. I’m not planning on editing it more (unless you guys convince me I should), but I’d appreciate it a lot if you could give me…[Read more]

Yes and yes! *slightly strained grinning* Although Kari’s second language doesn’t need much help thankfully. She’s human, but not exactly. So her vocal cords can handle her second language. Which is basically growls and hisses and stuff like that.

Lol I’m a little late, but oh well.
As for my stories themselves, I tend to always have at least one favorable character who has a lot of similar traits to myself. I love writing characters the most of all, and I love writing tension between characters– it’s especially fun if one is tryna be friendly and the other just hates them. XD
I also…[Read more]

Veraza Winterknight replied to the topic What part are you stuck on? in the forum Knaphollow Writing Discussions 7 years, 2 months ago
*sighs* I am stuck. Ish. On like everything. Technically I’m editing it all and then I’m going to continue writing but… I don’t know what I’m going to write. Like @maddiejay said ranting helps. Also car rides where you do nothing but stare out the window while your mind subconsciously works on the problem. And walks. Yep. That’s…[Read more]

Ooh… cool worldbuilding thingy this week.
Well. *sighs* Lemme go with my Kari storyline this time instead of my Ash Fall one.
Kari can travel between dimensions. So I try to vary the vocabulary a bit depending on what type of culture etc. is in each dimension. Kari also has her own language that I’m developing(definition: is…[Read more]

Aw! That’s super sweet! I like it a lot.
Speaking of old poetry that’s not my favorite, I was fourteen-ish when I really got into poetry and wrote a bunch of them. Most of them were inspired off of the works of Robert Louis Stevenson and Robert Frost (Those were the only two poets we actually formally studied for school. I used to…[Read more]
