I catch a flicker of movement as Noah slips into the hallway. Wiping cookie crumbs off my fingers, I follow just past the doorway. “Going to the kitchen, too?”

“No, I’m trying to find the library.” It’s a quick reply and before I know it, he’s disappeared around a bend.

I duck back into the room and catch the eyes of a few people who have yet to join in the poetry and festivities. “Let’s go find some cool books, guys. And whatever else this castle may hold.”
