The fire was disappearing. Vanishing. Brendan. Nithel’s eyes widened, darting to the doorway. He sat up straighter. Brendan was there. Healthy and whole. 

Jericho came over and touched Alessio’s shoulder. Nithel jumped inside, again unsure what to think of others touching his friend. But… Alessio deserved as much kindness as could be given. Nithel stayed close, but also scooted back a bit, just in case Alessio wanted to stand. Nithel didn’t wish to be in the way.
