Nithel let out the smallest growl, glancing back to Jericho and Brendan. But he was darting after Alessio. We can’t get separated. No. Please. 

He ran, trying to grab Alessio at first. But then sparks started to flicker around the youth, and Nithel was hesitant. They darted through a door, down a hall. More flames. He couldn’t lose him. He had promised.

“Alessio.” Nithel gasped, chest burning.
