Lol, I just discovered this thread.

I’m doing NaNo this year! I’m Kelly Lundgren on there too.

And I didn’t prepare at all during October so I’m full-on planning, brainstorming, and writing this thing all in November!

I wrote a nice 900 words this week! Still less than ideal- but pretty good!

Mmm I quite enjoy this.

Goals are good!

I usually take my characters from people I know in real life, so a lot of the times I don’t really have much more than a feel for what their weaknesses are. I usually don’t worry about it too much because I know that my protagonist is the one who needs to have the most obvious weaknesses. They’ll figure out everyone else’s eventually.

Ok I’ll get to work!

My goal this week is to read. Last week’s goal went okay, but I need some inspiration.

I also try to figure out the basic themes in my story early on (like “coming of age” or “falling in love” not a too in depth moral of the story) so I have an idea of where I need to get it to go.

I tend to write slowly; plus I have a job now and I’m going to be pretty busy this week- so I can help write but I’m not sure how much help I’ll be.
