Kor stared at the… thing that had appeared in a giant cloud of… something sparkly. He sneezed again, whatever the sparkly stuff was, it was sticking to him and he didn’t like it. And neither did his nose apparently. Then a strange sound assaulted his ears. It was West, coughing.

Korzen looked at him worriedly. “Are you okay?”

West nodded, the coughing subsiding. “I’ll… I’ll be fine.” His face was red, but that could have just been because of the heat, and he seemed fine.

So, Kor, after giving West another worried glance, turned to Jake.”Jake. Do you know what that is?” He gestured to the purple thing.

“No. Never seen anything like it before.” Jake cocked his head, staring curiously at the creature. It seemed to have momentarily distracted him from Avery not answering the signal.

“Me neither.” West carefully approached the purple thing. The creature ran over to him and batted his leg playfully with it’s paw.

Kor grinned. “I think it likes you.” Then he sneezed yet again. Maybe he was allergic to the sparkles. Or the purple thing.

Jake looked over at Korzen. “You okay?”

Kor nodded. “I already said I was fine. I don’t know why I keep sneezing. Maybe I’m allergic to the creature or this… whatever this sparkly stuff is.”

Jake grinned. “It’s glitter. What, you’ve never seen glitter before?”

Kor shook his head. “Nope. We don’t have glitter in Ash. I don’t think I like it. It’s annoying.”

West looked ruefully down at his clothes, also glitter covered. “You got that right.”

Jake kept smiling, then he looked down at the creature which had moved back to him. The purple thing was nudging Jake, taking a few steps forward, then coming back and nudging him again, it kept repeating that process. “I think it wants us to follow it.”

Korzen stared at the purple thing doubtfully, but sighed. “Well, who am I to disagree with something so… fluffy. And… purple.”

West bit his lip, but nodded. “Okay.”

The trio moved off after the purple creature.

Dagger K leaned over the viewing portal, continuing to spy on everyone. She’d stopped laughing, for now. “Heh. They found Scarlet.”

The Immortal glanced over from where she was leaning against the wall, sharpening a knife. “I told you they’d find him soon enough.”

“Yeah. I, personally, am amused by Korzen.” Dagger grinned wickedly. “Poor child just found out he’s allergic to glitter of all things.”

“Uh-huh.” The Immortal didn’t sound impressed.

“Mmm. I wonder how David’s doing…” Dagger waved her hand over the viewing portal. Another scene popped up beside the others, it was Belial. “I wonder who he’ll find first.”

“You’re flighty.” The Immortal never stopped sharpening.

“I know. Comes from my mental state being what it is I suppose.” Dagger K stopped talking, apparently too absorbed in what was happening in the portal to continue.

@the-fledgling-artist Sorry if you had other plans for The Ferocious Artist. I just thought leading the trio somewhere seemed like something she would do. Also I assumed Jake knew what glitter was. So if he didn’t… whoops.

@e_elaine_soup5 Colorado’s following them right? Or did he catch up with them? I have no idea so… yeah.
