“What has He done to you?” Nithel asked quietly, glancing first from Malvat to the girl – the Blood Mink (this is the right character, right? I keep getting Lupa and your character mixed up, @irishredcelticflowercrown XDD).

Malvat growled and lowered his head back to the turf, not letting his gaze wander away from Nithel’s sincere face. “Nothing that means anything to you, human,” he said, forcing his tone to be blank – neither menacing nor weary. “The better question is, what has he done for you? How can you prove he cares about you, or me, or the girl?”
