@cassie-hartfinh I just used CreateSpace through Amazon, it’s super cheap and easy printing on demand! π
The book is called “The Three Paintings,” but it was a kind of vague title so it’s easier to look it up under my name (Bethany Meckle). It’s on Amazon or CreateSpace.com.

@cassie-hartfinh I’ve self-published the book of Aesop’s Fables, and given a few of the copies away, but only sold like 4 or 5. I’m working on putting up all those stories on my website for free anyway, though. My brother is also quite an author so I’m hoping to help him get a book published sometime in the near future.
As far as Douglas Bond…[Read more]

@ashira Thanks for the welcome! π I’ve written some historical fiction (always get inspired to write more when I read Douglas Bond’s books!!), I’m not super great at it yet but I enjoy trying!

@cassie-hartfinh – My, quite the entrance! I already sense a kindred spirit. π
Well, I am currently working on getting back into actively writing, but my current project is a novel I started for NANOWRIMO (first full length novel, as long as I finish it!). It’s sort of contemporary fiction, pulling from several genres, though, including some…[Read more]

That’s awesome! It definitely is a lot of fun.
I haven’t written any historical fiction for a little while now, I’ve been meaning to pick it back up, but I really like 1700s and 1800s, mostly set in America. That, and Bible days/early church! Oh, that’s cool that you like writing dystopian! I haven’t met too many people who like dystopian as a…[Read more]

@evelyn Ooh, I really like the Hound of the BaskervillesΒ too! That’s probably my favorite of the full length novels. I actually haven’t watched the show, but I’ve definitely heard a lot of good about it from a lot of people! Maybe I’ll check it out sometime. π
I’m actually the administrative assistant for the film school (it’s run by two…[Read more]

Thanks Evelyn! Haha, mine neither really, but one of the only female characters, so… π (the name was my brother’s suggestion since I couldn’t pick!)
I’ve read most of the stories, yes, and it’s hard to pick a favorite but maybe the “Blue Carbuncle” and the “Second Stain.”

…aka the Dakotas.
Hi! I’ve followed Kingdom Pen and now Story Embers for quite a while but finally decided to join. I’ve been writing short stories since I was pretty young, and my brother inspired me to get back into writing again recently. I’m a homeschool graduate and I work for Motion University (an online Christian film school). Over the…[Read more]
