@seekjustice from what I’ve seen, there are some common matches between the two. INTJs, for example, are normally 1s or 5s. With INTPs tending to be 5w4 while INTJs tend to be 5w6 (which is what I am, btw). But these are general guidelines, not a set thing of if you are one MBTI type, you will for sure be a particular Enneagram type.

Favorite animal; probably the wolf. And yes, if we had flying wolves like I do in one of my books, I’d ride it.
As for sweaters… *doesn’t actually wear sweaters* At least they aren’t proper ones, though I do have light jacket things. So black. At least for my favorite light lounge wrap/coat dea.

Another idea, though it’s more something people do on their own, is to keep a document filled with stray ideas. I have a whole Scrivener doc just for this, where I keep quotes, theme ideas, story ideas, etc. Now, going there to start a project from scratch isn’t the easiest because there are both too many ideas and not enough that grip me at the…[Read more]

I’m not actually doing too much this week because I’ll be going to a Story Embers Staff Retreat in PA.
BUT I did finish up getting ready for round three of editing my novel and corrected the first chapter so I could pitch it at Realm Makers. Now… Pretty much just working on a short story about a historian of mine. And relaxing. And reading The…[Read more]

Each mask hides another,
Veil on tearstained veil.
Each tattered page of my heart,
Inked and stamped and sealed
In the shadows of my mind.
I wrote myself a fantasy,
Bound my heart in steel.
The bleeding […]

This was a great poem and I shall try not to be too cliche in my comment. (True, it was a while ago, but I’ve just read it.)
I must say, this was done with great imagery in the physical sense wherewith you took the feelings and emotions and turned them into descriptively physical pain. Very well. I think the idea for your mask poems is great and you should (truly) write more.
This was an actual experience for you? You took your feelings and moulded them unto the page, yes? Very interesting, very descriptive. I liked it a lot.
My favourite stanza was the sixth where you were brought out into the open the truth of who you really were.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. And yeah. My best poems tend to come when I’m actually feeling the thing I’m trying to write about. Or rather… that is when I sit down and actually write them.

Hope Ann replied to the topic Week 13: Writing Life; Typing vs. Writing (Me) in the forum Weekly Theme Discussion 7 years, 1 month ago
For writing a novel, I don’t think I could bear to write it by hand. The process of writing is long enough already. XD But I tend to add notes to my own stories as I write, that way I can keep from editing.
What I do like writing by hand are my poems. It makes me slow down and think, which works because I write poetry more for the process of…[Read more]

Awesome job, everyone! *feels bad because I didn’t actually do much (aka anything)* It turned out great though, despite that. Or maybe because of it. *eyes self*
Anyway, a question for next time, @princess-foo. I wondered what you thought of switching back to one writer and then all the others brainstorm and edit.
Two reasons for this. One of…[Read more]

Hope Ann replied to the topic Week 11: Writing Life: Why You Should Write Outside (Daeus Lamb) in the forum Weekly Theme Discussion 7 years, 1 month ago
Hmm. I’ve not written too much outside. Mainly because I do a lot on my computer and sunlight+computer screen doesn’t work too well.
I have taken my journal and written outside. Or, when I’m brainstorming, I like to pace up and down the road and mutter to myself. I’m not sure how much actual novel writing I could get done outside. But I do like the idea.

@princess-foo *chews lip* So, I do like both endings. And sad endings are always… *coughs* fun because of emotion. But I think, in this case, I do like @karthmin‘s ending better for the space we have. I feel like it’s more straightforward and we still have good, sad emotions there.
We could maybe combine some aspects though. For instance, if we…[Read more]

Pretty much the same goals as last week… I did get a lot of writing/editing done but I have more this week. So another 15k in Rebel Heir and finish a flash fiction piece.
