Another idea, though it’s more something people do on their own, is to keep a document filled with stray ideas. I have a whole Scrivener doc just for this, where I keep quotes, theme ideas, story ideas, etc. Now, going there to start a project from scratch isn’t the easiest because there are both too many ideas and not enough that grip me at the same time. But it’s something to start from.
