@j-a-penrose The UK English definition of prose includes lack of metre, but maybe it’s different in different countries.

Just a quick question. Will a song count as unique prose, since it technically isn’t prose? If not, we might be better leaving it out.

I look back at my old writing quite often, and it doesn’t make me cringe anymore. Don’t know what changed. I still notice all the mistakes, but I know how much better I am so it doesn’t upset me at all. Sometimes it makes me laugh, though 😀

Do you always begin conversations this way? 😀

Readers won’t read “asked, asked, asked”, or the same with “said”. Instead, they take in who’s talking and skip over the verb without really registering it, if that makes sense. Undoubtedly the best writing resource I’ve ever come across is 5 Editors Tackle the 12 Fatal Flaws of Fiction Writing by C.S. Lakin. 🙂
