Ahhh, Madame, believe me, when I say with the utmost sincerity, that it is a true pleasure to speak with you once again. How my heart quickens at the thought of your blessed return to these glorious halls! How I rejoice to hear of your coming!
Or, in modern English translation: YAY!!! I’m so glad your back!! *smothers you in a hug* 😉
I do struggle with balancing between actually writing my story and talking about writing on the forum, so I’ve needed to insert more self-control on this…*cough, cough* I wonder if we are related…😛
Aw, you are such a darling! Okay, yes, I’ll try and remember to tag you. 😀❤️
Yes, tea always helps.
P.S. I didn’t realize that you and @evelyn and @taylorclogston are all in the same guild! *cough* Yes, I can be a slightly unobservant at times. But now, Parimi Alca sounds even cooler…😍
It’s nice to know I’m not alone. 🙂
That makes sense to me about guilds being harmful in a sense…it’s a new thought for me, but I think I agree. If you wanted critique or advice for something, it might be less helpful in your guild because there’s only a small number of people who will be giving their opinions, whereas if you share it on the general form, you’ve got all sorts of help. (whether that’s a good thing or not, I’m not gonna go there…😛)
I think I’ve decided to stick with New Wessex. I’m not giving up on it yet. It’s young still, and we have plenty of room to grow…so I’m just gonna wait and see what happens. And try to be active/encouraging myself.
Hey, that’s really sad. I feel your pain and I’m sorry to hear that the art guild is kinda dead. 😢 I hope things pick up soon.
Hey, please don’t feel bad! That’s the ONE thing I didn’t want any of my guild members to feel when I posted this…and if you feel bad then I’ll start feeling bad for making you feel bad.
*gives you a hug* It’s okay…life happens. And I’ve heard the Young Writers Workshop is amazing. So, I understand that you have other responsibilities.
I’m sorry you haven’t been able to connect with people.
Thank you for your support. I appreciate it so much!
Oh that makes lots of sense about when SE started in the summer and how school would really affect people’s activeness. Good insight!
One thing we have to think about though, like you said, is not to put everything on the Guild Master’s shoulders. Perhaps it’s time that the guildlings who want a more active guild, to step up and take initiative somewhere. That was extremely inspiring, my dear!! Here, here!
That was a very helpful post about online relationships.👍
And, like, this is hilariously prideful, but I feel I contribute a lot and don’t get anything back from the community. I love helping, but I don’t feel like I’m growing myself. It’s frustrating, but maybe I just need to stick around longer and connect with more people :-*OUCH* I’m sorry that’s been your experience. I don’t think you were being prideful, either…you were just being honest.
I know! This thread has turned into an amazing discussion.
First, don’t feel bad with whatever decision you come to.Thank you…that’s really stress relieving.
For everyone who wishes their guild was more active, you do have the opportunity to change that. How would you recommend doing this? I’m already embarrassed how my face is like on every single thread for being the last person that commented. This may sound weird, but I will hesitate to comment because I’m afraid you and the other people in New Wessex will think that I’m trying to take over the guild or something. 🤦
I wanted to say, though, that I really appreciate the time you spend each week on writing/starting different discussions. I know you are a super busy person, and I’m glad you are still willing to lead New Wessex.
Well said, @the-fledgling-artist I agree!
