OKAY, I’m FINALLY back, and O.O Oh my word, this is so wonderful, ya’ll–GUYS, your art is /amazing/, just all of it is just–wow. I’m so happy. I love all of it so much, I just want to hug every single character. 😀
Gisette is gorgeous and adorable is going to be so fun to draw.
Kester’s design and personality is AWESOME and hilarious (respectively). XD
I just want to squish Basil! :3 That picture of him doing the map with his paw, on my word…
Clarion is magical. <3 Love your artstyle. @slisbyI apologize for not keeping up with this. 😛 Work has been very full time. To be totally honest, I’m not sure if I will end up having the time to truly commit like this comic deserves. <3 And if we don’t want the story to get too cluttered, I’m okay with backing out and just reading and enjoying from a distance. 😀
HOWEVER. I do have several character options. Let me know if any of these would be a vast and great help to the current group, and if they would, I’m willing to try giving this a second go! XD If not though, I will not be the least bit offended and life will be simpler.
1) A young teen animal who loves tech has created boxing gloves and ankle-bands that burn with fire when activated. He longs to be a fighter and make his mark in the world. He is very confrontational and agressive and this makes him a difficult character to get along with, HOWEVER down in his core he just wants everything to be fair and right, and he wants to have a part in making that happen in the world. How he would meet the group, I don’t know, but I’m sure he would want to help them. And would probably be the source of alot of conflict *cough* Kestral *cough*. :] For his specie, I was thinking of having a very prickly procupine (I’m writing a Sonic retelling, so I’ve been working with fiery prickly characters alot, so I know this is a species I could draw quickly and would be fun). Or I could do a flying squirrel. Just because bushy tail and skinny everything else and he could kinda fly a little.
2) A dragon who has wings, but can’t fly. Is a little dense and dumb, but when triggered turns into an ultra super-inferno-bomb momma bear and will protect the princess at all costs. I was thinking this character could even be like a royal family pet or something and they just bring him/her along as a backup fighter? Maybe he doesn’t even talk, but communicates through pictures, so I could have the dragon actually “drawing” all the panels of what’s going on in mini-stick figure form. XD (This would be another faster option for me since work is so crazy.)
3) Lastly, I thought it might be fun to go a really sarcastic, deadpan, emo assassin-type cat lady. She never raises her voice and she just makes all these random, judgemental–but also somehow kind of deep and philosophical–comments about life and the rest of the squad. She could even be the spy that Basil ran into in the beginning and maybe they could recapture her, so she’s stuck with them as a prisoner until she turns good. This character would be the most work, for me but I think she could be the most funny/memorable of the three I mentioned.
I’ll wait to choose one or join the Doc until I know for certain if any of these would be of help to the story! ;D I would love our fans to give input too!!
