Activity

The boy was offering her fruit. He looked at her hesitantly, then looked away. She wondered what he made of her. She had hurt his friend after all. Yet he was still offering her food. What was left of it anyway.

She stared at him carefully, then pushed his hands away, shaking her head. “You – eat,” she answered. Then she pointed at herself. “Me – fine.”

He looked at her with surprise. She looked away, folding her arms tight against her torso and stepped away slowly. Why was he being so kind? After she had just gone completely ballistic too. Blood was still covering her mouth and chin from the nosebleeds. She rubbed at it, wishing she had a tissue with her.
