Lol, love your post!! You managed to slip in humor, but also had those streaks of Artham’s sadness and regrets.
And I especially loved the part where you said:

“Artham shook his head and laughed with the others. He was going to cherish laughter as long as he lived. As. long. as. he. lived.”

That really pulled some deep chords in me.
