Funny about that,… I don’t remember how I did it…
As to your critique about calling all the moms and dads abba and imma because I refer to God that way or changing everything. I get your point about that.
The reason I want to use Hebrew names for God is because so few of the people I suspect to read it know of His names. I love all the differant names of God, and wanted to use them.
AS to these tips:
‘Even in Israel, summer nights aren’t hot. They’re around 77 f. If the story occurs in the summer – farmers preferred to sleep on their house’s roof in the summer, to enjoy the cool wind.’ (I will make sure it’s not in the summer.)
‘Beds were for rich people. Poor people slept on mattresses.’ (I will make sure I say it’s a mattress or pallet, not a bed.) (:
‘It isn’t clear if Chena has her own room (which’s anachronistic) or not, maybe I just didn’t understand the text perfectly.’ (Sorry it was confusing. 🙁 I’ll try to show more clearly that she’s not in her own room.)
‘It’s more reasonable that Chena’s parents will give her a ceramic doll as a gift, rather than a jar. And it’s more likely to do it on Passover, Sukkot, or Shavuot, when the people go to the big city, Jerusalem, rather than in a small, local festival like Purim.’ (Thanks! I will fix that.)
‘It would make more sense that Chena’s father would beg in Greek, not Latin – after all, Greek was the lingua franka of the area.’ (Hmm. People have told me the Jews in that time spoke mostly Aramaic? Are you saying to make them speak Greek when speaking to Romans?)
More later… (:
