Rob’s heart sank as he heaved a frustrated sigh. I knew I should’ve rescued that kid!  Now what do I tell this guy?

“I’m afraid I did, Gamma 6.5.” Rob hesitated a moment. Just tell it to him straight. There’s really no way to put this gently.

“Apparently, the government agents shot him in this leg and brought him down. They were arresting him when I saw them.”
