@Dakota, alright, here’s the next poem in Botanical Tales – The Daisy, the Poppy, and the Lily – but perhaps the last in this various flower-dominated collection. I know it’s only a collections of four poems so far, but, just letting you know. Anyway, here goes this odd poem!

 

The Daisy, the Poppy, the Lily…

Chat ever quite silly.

All remain splendorous friends; therefore,

Laughter and gladness descends.

 

Intricate is the Daisy’s design:

Striking white petals,

A center of gold,

Her smile ever gentle and kind.

 

Rustling in the wind gleams a stunning display.

The Poppy’s blood red petals,

As well her creative play

And entertainment, are quite admired.

 

The Lily, precious and sweet, having patterns

Of black polka dots resembling drops of ink,

Petals bright and gorgeous pink,

Laughs and laughs chirpily…

 

The Daisy ain’t ever lazy.

She serves willingly.

The Poppy ain’t ever sloppy

In her fancy performance.

The Lily ain’t ever jealous, really―

She is an enchanted and wondrous flower

Amongst those in the beauteous garden.

 

The Daisy, the Poppy, the Lily…

Are several dazzling flowers

Sparkling in pleasure and delight,

Flashing in glamorous sunlight!
