Hey guys… I would really appreciate some prayer right now. A while ago I asked a few of you to pray for my sister. She has struggled with some very difficult physical issues for the past ten years now (which I won’t go into detail about now), but especially in these last five years they’ve involved episodes of very severe seizures. Often during these times she loses ability to think or speak, and her muscles are so tense that it can be very difficult for her to breathe and someone is needed at her side at almost all times to keep her from hurting herself. As you can imagine, it’s not only been a very difficult struggle for her, but it’s also been very taxing on us as a family, and these past few days she’s been having these episodes almost non-stop throughout the day. So, prayer just for God’s healing power and touch of peace and comfort over my sister would be very, very appreciated, as well as peace for my family as we’re trying to help her through these times. Oh, Grace, I’m so sorry your family has been going through this rough time. I’ll definitely pray for you all. Praying that God would use this situation for his Glory and that you would all feel his comforting presence surrounding you. Praying that God would bring healing in whatever way he knows is best. <3 Remember, you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. He'll never ask you to walk through something he won't give you the grace to get through.

I’m so sorry to hear about this! I’ll be praying for your sister and your family. Though this is a tough storm, Jesus is still on the boat with you all and can calm the waves and the wind and is still with you even when He doesn’t seem to be <3

@emgc, So, I didn’t get to respond to this for a while (So, so, sorry about that) But I did see it and I have been praying for you and your family and will continue too. I honestly don’t have any words of comfort really because, the only time someone close to me was in a really, really, serious medical condition I was so young I don’t even remember it now. Still, I will pray for you daily. And I hope I might be able to encourage you at least a little by telling you to always look to God. Even when we have no idea what is going on and can’t see the big picture, or how any of these hard and scary things will ever work out for good, God does. We are little pieces in His plan. Your sister and her illness, they both point to God. We might not know how yet, but they will. Whether it’s all to make you stronger or her stronger or your family stronger, I don’t know, but the amazing thing is that God DOES. He always does. And he loves your sister more than you can even imagine.
So, I really can’t have an idea of what you and your family are going through and how scary that can all be, but God knows exactly what is happening and what will happen; where it will lead. I really hope you can take encouragement in that.
Like, I said, I’ll continue to pray daily, just as I am right now, for you and your family.

@emgc My heart goes out to you, your family, and especially your sister. Trials like these bring me to tears. I prayed as I read this originally, and now I’m seeing this again and will be sure to remember you all in prayer consistently.
Remember that this world is not our home. It is broken and we all, with it, are in desperate need of repair from our Maker. Praise be to Christ, that process of restoration has begun, but we rest in the hope of His promise – that one day He shall return and ALL things shall be made new. You will rest one day in the crook of His shoulder, dear one. Never forget. That is our hope.
I can offer no balm for the present better than the hope of our future. Be brave, and keep your eyes on the stars, no matter what. He who holds them in the palm of His hand keeps close and careful watch over you as well.
