Hey Joelle!
I remember you asked to read “Gilded Blood” a while ago. I finished the second draft and I’m looking for another beta reader! I’d be absolutely delighted if you have time to give it a read, I’d really appreciate your feedback!
It’s about 90k long, and I want to start on the revision in June. (So there’s about two months to read it) This is still a draft for resolving big worldbuilding/character/plot issues, so there’s no really detailed feedback involved, mostly answering questions about it and pointing out big flaws.
If this is bad timing or there’s any other reason you’d rather not do it right now, that’s totally fine! There will be more drafts later that might work better if you want to read it 😀

Firstly, YES I’M INTERESTED. Like incredibly interested. However, I’m overbooking myself (you know me XD) and have… uh… five or six things I told people I’d critique, not to mention my own WIPs and blog and whatnot. So I’d rather not give a definite answer as of right now (maybe in a couple of days…?), but I’m definitely on board if I can find the time.
Secondly, I’ve discovered that I’m not really great with giving feedback on things like plot, worldbuilding, and characters. I excel at grammar and prose, but for plot/etc., I can only offer my thoughts as I read and cannot promise that they’ll be any use. So if you still want me on board, awesome!! If not, I’ll wait for a later draft where you’ll fix the more technical stuff. 😛
Thirdly, THANKS SO MUCH FOR OFFERING I’D LOVE TO CRITIQUE BUT MY SENSIBLE SIDE IS FORCING ME TO WAIT (stupid Sensible Side) SO GIVE ME A BIT TO THINK ABOUT IT AND I’LL GET BACK TO YOU!!

Your thoughts are just what I want! I want more reactions than a detailed analysis of what I need to fix, I can figure that out, I just really want your opinions and feelings as you read it!
Listen to the sensible side and think it over!
Don’t feel pressured into it at all, I have other people I can ask for this round, so it’s not an issue if it doesn’t work out for you! I think my next round will be during the summer holidays so that’ll probably be better for just about everyone XD And if you read it then you’ll get a better version anyway, so whatever works for you!
So think it over and let me know! I’m so excited to share it with you, whether now or later!!

That’s actually perfect! It’s taking me longer to write book 3 and I have some plotlines I want to change before I get book 1 to you, so this summer is ideal! Thank you so much, I’m so excited to share it with you!
