Thanks for the welcome. I’m in a hefty class right now so I’m not able to keep up with this as much as I’d like.
I don’t read fiction as much as I used to or should, just because I’m normally reading some ginormous systematic theology book…. My favorite fiction books change with every one I read. The most recent I read and absolutely loved is called “Hurt Go Happy” by Ginny Rorby. It’s kind of sad, about a sign-language-using chimpanzee and a deaf girl who learns to work through abuses in her past. I also liked “Counted Worthy” by Leah E. Good. I actually adapted it for a speech performance class a couple years ago and had a good time with it. And I like the Scarlet Pimpernel series by Baroness Orczy, especially “Sir Percy Hits Back.” And of course, the Chronicles of Narnia.
Right now, I’m reading (or trying to read) through Sherlock Holmes which is enjoyable when I get time to do it. I also am planning on reading Tolkien’s Lord of the Ring series, which I have never done but it’s one of those series that is always talked about, so I figured it’s probably a good study. 😉
