“Sure.” She said, staring at him a little stunned. But then she smiled a little crookedly. “Thanks.”

Alessio shrugged and mumbled something incoherent, not really sure how to respond to a thanks. Awkwardly, he kind’ve lightly wrapped his arms around her shoulders and brushed against her. He’d never learned it was ok to pull someone into a hug or squeeze or hug back or so this felt very unnatural and embarrassing. This was a failing grade in basic human affection and if he came into the slightest physical contact with another human being they were going to spontaneously combust in his arms and then he would die.
