Alessio was debating whether or not he had the mental energy to argue with Arsene about shopping when he heard Leana setting down her pack and he glanced toward her. She’d be able to talk sense into Ar…They were arguing over something stupid and she just wanted her father back. Alessio bit his lip.

What would Nithel do? He’d have something to comfort her with, wise words or just being there to listen. Wait, she hugged him when he was upset, so she liked hugs?

Or maybe he’d be overstepping a boundary.

But shutting up and ignoring it didn’t work, why was it so hard to do emotions?!

There was no way they were shopping after this, Arsene didn’t need a shiny new distraction (Alessio didn’t either), he’d just have to take command of the situation they needed to get moving. He’d just have to do that himself so Leana wouldn’t have to worry about it she had enough to worry about…

Resolutely Alessio took two steps toward her, rehearsing words of comfort and then lost all his resolution.

“Uh,” Hugs made people feel better?? “May I hug you? I mean would it be useful, or…?”

Alessio swallowed, turning a bright shade of red and stifling the urge to plan escape routes. How was Nithel so good at this??
