“Well, that was fun. We should try going on a picnic next time.” Arsene chirped, staring at his handiwork. The floor was powdered enough to masquerade as a ghost – compliments of Arsene startling him with that explosion and Alessio dropping his bowl of ingredients. Which resulted in a couple sparks and that resulted in another disaster.
“None of you seem to agree with me.” HE HAD HAD TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS HE COULD REMEMBER BECAUSE HE WAS TOO SCARED TO ASK ANYONE TO REPEAT THE DIRECTIONS!!! And then he had to do that in a kitchen that didn’t function at all, where everyone was trying to blow up everyone, so he had to try and start a fire to cook it because the “oven” box didn’t work anymore!!!
There were black, crunchy edges all along the bread and it smelled…not so savory. But it was edible to Alessio. Alessio, who is immune to most poisons and has standards so low they’re a tripping hazard, Alessio.
“So, while we have time, I say we get any weapons we can find. There’s a store across the street from the hotel and this ‘Lord Amnesia’ says that we can get whatever we need. I say we use this opportunity.”
Alessio wearily grabbed Arsene’s shoulder and stared at him with a look of such apathetic disbelief and accusation you’d think if someone said the house was burning down he’d just nod and go to sleep.
“Arsene, I have to say this,” Alessio said in a strained voice “ – and I mean this in the best possible way – of all the catastrophes I’ve met in my sad short pathetic life you are the worst culinary disaster. Ever. And this is a feat par excellence such that in your backwards way of thinking you could take it as an inestimable compliment.”
He shook his head.
“How, my friend, are you not dead?! Also, no! We are not going shopping before we face our imminent demise!” Actually this situation was almost funny. If it wasn’t a life or death situation. He shouldn’t be trying not to laugh!? “We should…just…get this over with…”
