That is a good idea, and I hate to bring this up now because we’re so short on time and should start writing very soon, but I’m a little concerned about it. First, writing fiction about Bible characters can be risky because of the potential for misrepresenting the true biblical account, especially with someone like Jesus. I personally wouldn’t be comfortable writing this sort of thing, but I will defer to you guys if you think it’s our best idea.
Second, though, I’m wondering if it fits the prompt. We’re meant to bring out the beauty of something ordinary, but are Jesus’s hands ordinary? They are the hands of the God of the universe in human form. I don’t think you can get much more extraordinary than that.
Again, I think it’s a good idea, and these are just my own opinions/concerns. I think you could do a great job with it. It really just depends on how it’s approached, and also on the judge’s interpretation of it and expectations for this prompt.
@j-a-penrose What do you think?
Keep it up, guys!
@azeline-d Typically writing the draft takes 1-3 days, and as for editing, sometimes we’ve had one day to edit, and others we’ve had a full week. We just take advantage of whatever time we have. 😀
P.S. Also, to whoever writes the draft, I would recommend that you write the full thing (unless for some reason you’re not able to finish it) before posting it in the doc for editing. That way everyone knows you’re done, and we don’t distract you from finishing it by editing before you’re done. (:
