Llewelyn jumped as Basil turned into a snake. He shouldn’t have been surprised, considering all the hints leading up to this, but he was still surprised. He lifted off the ground, flying backwards a few feet to gain distance again. He still didn’t know if there was going to be a fight or not.

He glanced around, wondering why temples had to be so dark.
