From what I have learned, @coggleton, you would apply it to a series with the same basic principles as any one story. Only you have to stretch it out more. So each book of the series would have the 6 basic plot points and looking at the series as a whole you’d be able to see the 6 points as well. So the only thing you’d really have to be careful about is making sure there is a very clear definition between the two.

For example… say your series has 6 books. When you are writing book 4 (the general period of despair) you’d write your book with a regular plot-line, but you would continuously highlight the over arching plot-line and the fact that it has reached it’s “darkest moment”.

So in the Chronicles of Narnia each book is basically a stand alone with it’s own plot, story arch, etc. but in The Magician’s Nephew you are clearly introduced to a bunch of major characters and a new land and all that, and Diggory gives us out Characteristic Moment of the whole series when he faces the White Witch in the garden.

Likewise, the Last Battle is the Denouement of the series, with everything about Narnia wrapping up and coming to an end.

I hope that helps 🙂 @j-a-penrose, do you have anything to add or correct?
