Ah. I was/am also homeschooled, I’m just taking some advanced classes in a career placement high school.
That’s cool! I’m taking exams at the end of every year so I get a high-school diploma end of next schoolyear! If I… yaknow… pass. XD
Sounds like great fun! Even the rear getting kicked part.
It was awesome! I had a great time! I had three matches and spectacularly lost all three because a. I’ve never done this before and b. everyone I was matched against was wayyy more experienced. But I actually managed to score four points! (Including a head-hit for two points which I’m very proud of) Everyone went easy on me XD
Fun fact, an actual fight is not like training and one is still very apt to click into “What am I supposed to do???” even though you theoretically know what to do. (I did. Every time. XD)
But I managed not to get injured, which is a big plus XD
I can empathize, and yet my WIP’s mindpoint is located closer to the 75% mark than the 50% mark, so we’ll see how that goes. xD
Ooof, yikes XD I know you’ll manage it but that does not sound fun XD
I know what you mean, it is a struggle. But I really enjoy meshing the internal conflict with the main plot, and having different characters’ flaw and lies clash with each other and the plot.
Oh, absolutely! The character arcs and internal conflict is my favorite part, but usually, and especially this time, my external plot is kind of flimsy, it’s just what’s needed to get the character arcs complete. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing XD Could be either.
I invented a few chapters out of the blue, but I’m sticking pretty close. xD
Oh, same, that always happens XD And I might end up splitting up most of my chapters because they average about 5000 to 6000 words every time. The longer I write the longer my chapters get, which I guess is a good thing since I tended to skim over events and tell too much.
Well we know what was in your mind for them while you were writing, even if it was just the subconscious.
Yes, unfortunately XD I was in denial for a good long time but now there’s no avoiding it. I think it’ll be kind of a background plot though. Just starting a romance instead of a full romance arc.
There were reasons I don’t want them to get romantically involved, but I’m going to have to work around that XD
Nice. When do you plan to finish the book?
Well, the planning was end of March, but that was assuming the book was 100k long. I’m almost 50k in and I still have four or five chapters to the midpoint. So, that would mean it might end up being closer to 150k so I’ll either have to write faster or assume my planning will be slightly slower. It’s not a big issue, but I wanted to get it out of the way before exams.
