    @emily-waldorf

    I really want the castle to call out Quin and Yila as murderers… I think Aydin would have a really interesting reaction.

    If you don’t feel like writing it I will tomorrow if that’s cool?

    @denali-christianson

    Hellloooo everyone I’m aliveeeee (actually I highly doubt that statement as I’m currently having an existential crisis brought on by plot holes…)

    It’s finnnneeeeee.

    I mean, we also know it’s not, but y’all are writers. You understand.

    *cries in corner*

    Awww, honey, I hate it when that happens!! *Gets you hot chocolate because it’s too dang cold for ice cream*

    I know you’ll work it out and the story will be better for it!

    Lol yeesssss!!!!! I mean, I was actually excited for winter this year, and of course the only year I’ve been genuinely excited for winter had to be the same year that it’s literally failing to occur. UUUGGHHHHH…. I also hate it when there’s snow and rain at the same time because it’s not refreshing rain and it’s not pretty snow so it’s just depression. Actually, that’s not true. I love darkness and gloom and clouds because it makes me feel like I’m in a fantasy world, but at the same time, I hate it. Ya know what I mean? XD’

    Totally XD I like it because I have more time to spend on writing stuff, but I can’t endure Dutch winters. When did I last see the sun….

    YEESSSSS SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, to be fair, I’ve never written a punch in the gut type death scene to date because I haven’t gotten far enough in the story to get to the high stakes yet… But there’s this one character who I knew from the beginning was going to die, and every time I think of her, I feel like crying.

    I have no idea if it’s as sad as I imagined because I constantly go back and forth between “that was amazing and everyone’s going to cry about it” and “Nobody actually cares, I’m just irrationally attatched to my characters” XD

    It’s the worst when you already know they’re going to die but you can’t help getting more and more attatched to them  😭😭

    Naturally, I make a concerted effort to think about her a lot. XD

    LOL, mood, it’s nice to have something else to direct your deep sadness at so you can pretend it’s that that’s making you so deeply miserable… 🙂

    Yes sammeee!!!!!! I’m curious too. I feel like Niarok is either going to take up the slack and just keep being nice, or he’s going to pull away and let Ayden have space, and I have no idea what’s going to happen because Niarok is withdrawn in the back of my mind having his own existential crisis so we’re not communicating right now so… Yeah. I’m interested to see what he does… Oh, trust me. It’s realllly hard to hurt Niarok’s feelings. He’s heard just about the worst insults and rejections possible. It’s amazing what people will say to you when you’re operating on their mortal wound with no anesthetic… XD

    LOL, that’s a very valid point XD

    Aydin has the kinda opposite thing. On one hand he’s gotten used to being constantly degraded by everyone but also he internalized it so he’s thinking like it’s true??

    That last post was a great example. He absolutely wasn’t a coward about it, he stood all alone against the face of evil and it’s honestly the bravest thing any of my characters have done, ever, but he can’t recognize that because he’s been told a million times that he’s a coward.

    It’s weird, I wonder how he’d going to react to Niarok. It’ll be cool!!

    HAHAHAHA I can just imagine the chaos that is going to ensue and I’m HERE FOR IT!!!! XD I can definitely see her distracting Niarok too since he apparently, unbeknownst to me, has an extreme dad complex. XD After he basically adopted all these hoodlums without my permission, I can just imagine the beauteous hilarium that is going to be his attempting to assist Aydin in the wrangling of the manic youngest sibling…

    That is even funnier when you consider that Liorah doesn’t let herself be wrangled, ever XD Every attempt to keep her from executing her right to stupidity is destined for epic failure.

    That’s a really good point! I totally wrote Niarok’s backstory without even thinking. he was just talking and I was typing and then we had the speech, but that’s sooo interesting! You’re right, he does just accept it. I think that explains a lot of why he acts like he does. he’s decided that that’s his past, he can’t change it, and therefore he’s not going to concentrate on that, he’s going to concentrate on being the person he wants to be and not the assassin his father wanted him to be. Thank you immensely for putting that into words… XD

    That’s a very valid point! I think Aydin will be a lot more like him after he’s been through his arc. Niarok is the only character here with good coping mechanisms XD

    I’m strongly considering just pulling Leytera out now and dropping my other character in as I’m not currently writing Leytera and I honestly need mental help with this other character who has an obnoxious habit of strangling my brain from the inside out with her weird inconsistencies. Soooo…

    Thoughts?

    DO IT!!!! I can’t wait to meet her!!
