@karthmin I recently read Wingfeather saga for the first time and Janner!!! I could see so much of myself in him, especially in his interactions with Tink, because I am an oldest sibling too. It was bad timing too, because I finished the book a few minutes before some people were arriving at my house for a party, and I had to go hide in a corner and cry.
@morreafirebird For my character, I am going to do my two POV characters.
Isabelle:
Good traits; Intelligent. Practical. Logical. Realistic. Loves learning. Determined.
Neutral; Well educated. Values independence. Generally has an answer to any question you might answer, or is willing to research to find an answer. Loves science. Up with the times. (This is important because not a lot of characters in the story are familiar with the world outside of the orphanage, which has changed dramatically since it was founded.)
Bad traits; Can be close minded. Not a huge people person. Doesn’t understand children. (Jokes on her, she works at an orphanage now!) Doesn’t have many soft edges.
Edward:
Good traits; Very warm and friendly. A people person. Physically strong, and understands people, especially children. Funny. Doesn’t take himself too seriously.
Neutral traits: A literal Beast. (It’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling.) Immortal. Has trouble telling the passing of time. Is not up with the modern times.
Bad traits: Dislikes change. Needs someone practical to reign him in.
I guess they are kinda like Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter? One is book smart and one is people-smart. *Takes a moment to consider if Hermione is actually both of those people. Ron can be an idiot sometimes.* I like to think of it as Edward is a dog, Isabelle is a cat.
