<p>Taking the time to write a deep backstory for a villain helps so much in developing who the villain is instead of just throwing him/her in as a one-dimensional bad guy. The villain in my current WIP has such a terrible past that I almost cried while I was writing it and the villain is now my favorite character. 😀</p>

<p>In a few days I&#8217;ll be away at a Christian convention helping out on the kids team and because I&#8217;m in Australia it&#8217;s summer for me. And the days that I&#8217;m away for are nearly 40C (100F) and that&#8217;s going to be really tough to keep the kids cool and happy and sleeping won&#8217;t be much fun either.</p>

<p>So I went through and read both version a couple of times. The second version definitely depicts Phillepe as a snobby prince well, but there are a couple of details in the first version I liked. (I commented about them in the docs).
