I understand what you mean about having experiences you’re grateful for, even if you wouldn’t want to do it again. Same thing happened to me when I was in a crash that could have been fatal…glad to be able to know what that was like, but would not want to do it again! And in that case, grateful for the protection of God. I will incorporate that into my writing, as well. 😀
