I’m glad you like the idea, @sam-kowal , but I’m afraid that Friday or Saturday would almost undoubtedly be too late for collaboration.

As a matter of fact, after giving it some more thought, I have concluded that there might not be enough time left in the week to complete and edit the project according to my first plan. :/

I think the most important thing at this point is to actually have an entry to submit. It would hurt our pride as a guild if we had nothing to enter. We Avensers must protect our guild! 🙂

Therefore, I have come up with an alternate plan that should make it easy to complete and submit our project by Monday. I think the first idea would work better for next time when we still have a whole week left to work on it.

Instead of trying to write a short story which would take more time to outline and collaborate on, those who wish to participate could each write a short piece literally just describing a sunrise (from whatever perspective they please), being as creative and colorful in the description as possible.

They could share them via a link with Google Docs (Suggestion Mode) so we could read and review them.

The cut-off for sharing one for consideration would be 5:00 p.m. EST tomorrow (Thursday) night. If there is more than one to choose from, those of us who didn’t write them could vote that same evening in the thread. The one with the most votes would be chosen.

Once one is chosen, voting would be closed and we could immediately begin commenting on the chosen document with editing suggestions and ideas.

The writer of the piece would then review our suggestions, revise it, and share it again for last minute edits and corrections by Saturday evening, to be submitted on Monday.

How does that sound? I realize it’s probably not as fun as my first plan, but we don’t have a lot of time to do this, and I know we are all busy with our own things as well. @gabriellepollack
